While being interviewed, Donald Trump expressed his opinion that abortions should be ‘banned’ in America. The next question was, “What should happen to women who get illegal abortions?”
Trump replied, “There has to be some form of punishment.”
YES, if someone violates a law, there should be ‘some form of punishment’, just as there is if we drive 65mph in a 30mph zone; just as we violate the law when we drive drunk, sell cocaine, rob a bank or write a bad check.
The people, the media, the so-called ‘expert analysts’ and Trump’s opponents need to LISTEN CLOSELY to what he says. When he suggested that all Muslims be banned from entering America, he added, “until we can figure this out”. That means we should a) initiate a better ‘vetting’ process or b) implement tighter security measures to ensure that we don’t allow people in this country who may pose a threat to it. Once we do that, then we can resume the process of inviting Muslims into our country.
When George H.W. Bush promised, “No new taxes!”, everyone was pissed off when he raised [current] taxes. There’s a big difference between raising existing taxes and adding new tax laws!
Voters need to listen more closely so we can distinguish out-and-out lies from simpler concepts or ideas. -RKO- #229 03-31-16
Trump will not keep his promise to support the nominee. Well, that should tell us something, which we should clearly see: like Hillary and Marco – and others in remission – Trump, the “outsider“, gradually’s become a politician! The only thing we can expect a candidate to do is break his promises – you bet! – and lie to me and you. -RKO- #228 03-30-16
There once was a lawyer named Sibley – whose client, a madam in D.C. – has a call list with names and addresses that threatens to really make messes of upcoming U.S. elections! If he names politicians’ erections, or describes their bizarre predilections, we might find how Congress plays “plunk”it and maybe find out “what’s a ‘junk’et”?!?! -RKO- #227 03-29-16
Isn’t it odd how we always use ‘God’ to help justify what we hate? If we think being gay is an aberrant way, we’ll use ‘God’ to support our debate. If we dislike a culture, we’ll swoop like a vulture and swear that ‘God’ says it’s not right! If we’re Pentagon brass, and we need to kick ass, we’ll claim ‘God’ called us into the fight! BUT – cheat on my wife? well – hey! – that’s MY life – and – to you – that just shouldn’t matter! ’cause I am what I am, and I don’t give a damn [but ‘God’ doesn’t like idle chatter!]. -RKO- #226 03-28-16
“The people” chose Barabbas over Jesus. Two hundred decades later, and still no one can please us. We whoop and holler – sometimes without reason – and celebrate the ‘spirit’ of a mean election season. And if someone should dare to disagree, we’ll scowl at them on Facebook and call them names. You see, that’s how it works these days. We love to hate and denigrate [and seldom ever praise]. If we can use the “f” word, that’s a start……. we think that makes us funny, or even makes us ‘smart’. We’ll us the “n” word, “b” word, “c” word, too – all just so we can document that we’re ‘better’ than you! And even on this holiest of days, we’ll deprecate each other with menacing displays of bigotry we’ve all come to expect; without one ounce of compromise, agreement or respect. Tomorrow the hate intensifies, after this pious day of rest. We’ll get right back to all our barbs and lies, ’cause that’s the thing that we do best! -RKO- #225 03-27-16
It’s Holy Saturday – and no one’s campaigning! The sun’s shining brightly; it’s not even raining! Nobody’s out there saying whom we should choose, be it Hillary, Donald or Sanders or Cruz! So, maybe when they all return from their Easters – having stuffed themselves full and plopped down on their keisters – they’ll all find their hearts have a a nice, new warm spot – and they’ll all act more civilized (or maybe NOT!). -RKO- #224 03-26-16
NOTICE: On March 23, 2016, I posted my 221st “Political Poetry by RKO” verse on Facebook. Yes, I’ve been writing this daily prose since last August, and – just last month – started buying “ads” on Facebook to help promote this satire in the midst of the political season.
Unfortunately, Facebook has “not approved” this poem because it contains “profane” language which might be “offensive” to some viewers! I assume this ‘decision’ is made by a computer, and – since Facebook won’t tell me – specifically – what words are ‘profane’, I can only assume that the word whore is the only possibly “offensive” out of more than 200 words in this poem! Here’s the poem, reprinted again:
Of course, the establishment wants you to vote for ‘experienced’ candidates worthy of note. Someone who acts obsequiously; someone like Ted, or his friend, Hillary. Someone who shows a subtle inference to protect profiteering by all “big insurance”. Someone who kowtows and humbly says, “Thanks” for the millions of dollars they received from “big banks”. And it wouldn’t be right to neglect all the drama that comes with the millions they get from “big Pharma”! In politics, there’s not much to renounce. Just grab all the money; “experience” counts! Campaign contributions are never called ‘bribes’; politicians will bristle in their diatribes, as they blatantly flaunt their ‘rights’ to that money: “That’s how the game’s played! Get used to it, Honey!” It’s not about serving their country, my son; It’s not about seeing what more they can see. It’s all about taking the money and run – and being the very best whore you can be! “Big oil” and frackers and coal mining firms are just a few more of the corporate worms who brazenly ‘buy’ our ‘elected’ officials (we won’t mention names, but here’s some initials): H.C.; T.C.; M.M. and N.P. – they’re part of the club where “it’s all about ME!” “The people be damned; WE think they deserve US! After all, we’re ‘experienced’ in ‘public service’! -RKO- #223 03-25-16
SO, if you agree that this poem is not profane or offensive, I’d like to hear from you – and I’d appreciate it if you would share this with all your friends on social media. These poems are intended to expose the debauched and wanton condition of our licentious political process in America. I’d appreciate your help in “spreading the word’. Thank you – from the “heart of my bottom”! lol -RKO-
As if there’s nothing in their lives that Cruz and Trump would privatize, they’ve now attacked each others’ wives! By making them their lowly minions to shape political opinions, it reinforces how these blokes* are both not more than bawdy jokes. *(Blokes: A British slang term for fellows who are less than gentlemenly) -RKO- #222 03-24-16

A fierce attack in Brussels; another brutal blow. A chance for Trump to – once again – tell us, “I told you so!” We all abhor such savagery; we’re all above that fray. But, sucker punch a ‘protester’? Well, sure, that seems ‘okay’. For ISIS to post messages of violence and hate…. THAT we’ll condemn while listening to Rush vociferate! Civility is something we’re more inclined to shun. Ferocity is something best settled with a gun. -RKO- #220 03-22-16
